Installation Overview

Solarfix was chosen to carry out this installation due to our expertise and commitment to providing tailored solutions. With Solarfix holding ISO 9001 accreditation, Peter was confident he was getting not just a top-quality system but also exceptional service. Learn more about our accreditations here.

At the Wishart Group’s business premises, Solarfix installed a 5.5kW solar panel system with a hybrid inverter. Although home storage batteries weren't included initially, the hybrid inverter allows for easy integration of a battery in the future. Since the business operates during daylight hours, a battery isn’t currently needed, but this will be reviewed after a full year of monitoring import/export with the solar system. Since its installation in March 2024, the system has generated over 3,000 units, equating to nearly £1,000 in savings. This setup is ideal for reducing energy costs and carbon footprint, with the flexibility to expand as energy needs evolve.

Environmental and Financial Impact

The installation of solar panels is set to deliver substantial financial savings and environmental benefits. By generating their own electricity, the Wishart Group is significantly reducing their reliance on the grid and lowering their energy bills.

In the future, adding a Duracell home battery  could provide even greater flexibility and savings. With Solarfix’s expertise and the hybrid inverter already in place, an upgrades can be seamlessly integrated.

Ongoing Partnership

Peter Wishart selected Solarfix after extensive research into solar panel suppliers seeking a provider that could deliver high-quality solar panels in Northern Ireland. Impressed by Solarfix’s reputation as a leading solar company and their competitive pricing on cheap solar panels, Peter felt confident in choosing them for this important project.

Peter is particularly enthusiastic about the impact solar energy will have on his carbon footprint and energy independence. By adopting solar technology, he is contributing to the broader goal of achieving Net Zero emissions, while also enjoying the financial benefits of reduced energy costs.

Future Upgrades and Flexibility

Looking ahead, Peter has the flexibility to further enhance their solar system. They could consider installing the My Energi Zappi car charger for efficient electric vehicle charging or the My Energi immersion heater controller to heat water with surplus solar energy. Both of these options would allow them to make even better use of their solar generation and reduce reliance on grid electricity.
